Arthur Sorenson

Art Sorenson, 65, Erdahl, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at his home.

Art was born March 8, 1956 in Alexandria, Douglas County, Minnesota, to Russell and Agnes (Goldstein) Sorenson. The family lived in Erdahl. Art graduated from Elbow Lake – Wendell High School in 1974.

Art had a passion for farming and worked on a farm outside of Elbow Lake for many years. When he wasn’t farming, Art enjoyed working on and restoring John Deere tractors, snowmobiling with his friends and collecting John Deere farm toys.

Survivors include his son, Corey (Danielle) Sorenson, grandsons, Aaron and Austin Sorenson of Rogers, MN, brother Roger (Wendy) Sorenson of Eagle Bend, nieces, Joy Sorenson of Alexandria, Emily (Josh) Ritter, great niece, Tenleigh Ritter and great nephew, Lennox Ritter of Sauk Centre, MN. Art is also survived by his beloved dog, Cocoa.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Agnes Sorenson.

A Graveside service for Art will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hjerdal Cemetery in Elbow Lake with Pastor Eliza Johnson officiating.
