Caryl Foy

Caryl Foy, 81 of Brandon died Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Brandon Assisted Living.

Carol Joyce Foy was born on June 13, 1942, in Ortonville, Minnesota, the daughter of Lawrence and Minnie (Mielitz) Kanne.  She graduated from Ortonville High School in 1960.   

Caryl married Eldon Johnson and they lived in Cape Coral, Florida.  Following Eldon’s death, Caryl moved to Seattle for a number of years, where she worked in a bank.  She moved back to Cape Coral where she married Harold Foy, and together they did guardianship for the elderly.  She moved to Minnesota in May of 2022, and in 2023 moved into the Brandon Assisted Living.   Caryl enjoyed her dogs, loved flowers and had a strong faith.

She is survived by one brother, Garnet Kanne of Ortonville; two nieces, Karol (Jon) Saboe of Utah and Terri Thomson of Minnesota; and two step-kids, Elise Eastburn and Derek Foy.  Caryl was preceded in death by siblings, Lyle and Arlen Kanne and Eileen Kanne.
