Cindy Ann Kloos was born on February 18, 1957, in Billings, Montana, to Vern and JoAnn (VanZee) Kannegiesser. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Cindy graduated from Cyrus High School in 1975. James and Cindy Kloos were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus, MN on March 20, 1976. From this union, they received the blessing of being parents to three boys, Michael, Corey, and Aaron.
Cindy always said that being able to stay at home to raise their three sons on the farm was a great blessing from God. Sporting events and musical programs were an important part of Cindy’s life. She practiced and played basketball, football, and t-ball with their sons. As their sons grew older, there were not many games, grade school or high school events, that Cindy missed. Life brought the Kloos Family to many cities throughout MN, WI, and ND after always finding Hoffman, MN as their home.
Cindy worked at the United States Postal Service for many years. She also waitressed at various restaurants in the different cities they lived in and later on worked at Tastefully Simple as an Event Coordinator where she found her passion for combining her creativity and socializing. Then she was inspired to start a catering business with her sister, Tammy, allowing them to share their talents in the kitchen with many. Cooking and baking was a way for her to serve others and show her love. Cindy assisted at Erickson-Smith Funeral Home. She was active in organizations like the Lions Club, Church choir, and volunteering in her local community in any way she could. She loved spending time with all people. Community members, friends, family, her sons, and daughter-in-laws. Living in a house with four males made her appreciate her time with her female friends all that much more. She adored her grandchildren. Her family was her life and still was when she was in the hospital. Always asking about her grandchildren and family. Cindy had the most loving, caring, and thoughtful heart which came from her strong faith and love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray that as a family, we will continue her loving affection for others through our faith.
