Conrad M. Larson, 77, of Cyrus, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Bethany in Fargo, North Dakota. Conrad Matthew Larson was born to Ernest and Virginia (Dahlgren) Larson on June 30, 1947, in Morris, Minnesota. Conrad attended school in Cyrus, MN, and then went on to Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, MN. While at NWSA he played football and basketball.
Conrad was a man who knew everyone and would make quick friends of strangers. He died surrounded by his children and other family. Known for his unwavering willingness to lend a hand and love for sports, Conrad leaves behind a legacy of coaching, putting others before his needs, endless business endeavors, and five sons and ten grandkids who will forever be grateful for his love and guidance.
There was no denying his genuine love for helping others. Whether it was helping a neighbor in need or volunteering to coach the local basketball team, Conrad was always there, ready with a hand and a smile.
Conrad's greatest joy, however, came from his family. He was a fiercely proud father to his five sons, Travis, Craig, Tim, Mark, and Matt, and ten grandchildren. Family gatherings involved intense games of football and basketball but were always filled with laughter and an abundance of love. He modeled an incredibly deep work ethic for his boys, living out sacrificial love.
Conrad will be deeply missed by his sons, his grandchildren, and countless friends and family who benefited from his generosity.
Conrad is survived by his sons Travis (Michelle), Craig (Debbie), Timothy, and Matthew (Alicia) Larson and their mother Eileen Larson; and grandchildren Aidan, Dakota Foster, Eagan, Dane, Britta, Elin, Hannah, Emily, Avery, and Zachary Larson.
Preceding Conrad in death are his parents, Ernest and Virginia; 2 sisters, Sherlyn and Eileen; and son, Mark and wife, Phyllis in 1976.
