Darlene Knoll, 67, of Elbow Lake, died Friday, September 11, 2015, at Prairie Ridge Hospital and Health Services, Elbow Lake. Visitation will be held at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Hoffman on Monday, September 21, 2015, from 9a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be a prayer service at 10 a.m., with Father James Statz officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015, in St. Adalbert Cemetery at Silver Lake, Minnesota. Darlene was born August 26, 1948, in Hale Township of McLeod County, Minnesota, along with her twin sister, Arlene, to Anton and Irene (Rivers) Knoll. Darlene was a resident of group homes in Cambridge, Faribault, Willmar, Urlingford, and Hutchinson. She was currently a resident at MSOCS/ELNE in Elbow Lake where she stayed busy on a daily basis and enjoyed visiting with staff. She enjoyed going for rides, watching movies, dancing, animals especially cats and dogs and listening to music. Darlene loved wearing her fanny pack and accessorizing herself with jewelry. Darlene is survived by her family at the MSOCS and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Delphine Webb, Stella Kosek and Arlene Knoll ; and two brothers: Steven Knoll and George Knoll in infancy. The Erickson-Smith Funeral Home of Hoffman is in charge of arrangements for Darlene Knoll.
