Deborah Malaterre, 44, of Hoffman, died Monday, July 27, 2009, at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 3, 2009, at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Hoffman with Pastor Steve Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Lands Cemetery, Hoffman. Visitation is one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Debbie was born in Albany, Oregon, on September 25, 1964, were she grew up and graduated from the Albany High School in 1982. Deb and Mike Malaterre had been together since January 17, 1999. They were married on August 17, 2007, at the Tipsinah Mounds Campgrounds near Elbow Lake. The couple has lived in Alexandria and Garfield and were currently residing in Hoffman. Debbie enjoyed camping and the outdoors, spending time with Mike, and her dog. She is survived by her husband Mike of Hoffman, daughters Desi (Tim) and Rolena of Albany, Oregon, and three grandchildren; sisters Faith Ross, Eva (William) Wilkinson, Karren Russell and Ruthanne Ross, and brothers David Ross, John (Elizabeth) Ross, Steve (Theresa) Ross, and Jessie (Virginia) Ross, all from Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Doris Ross, brother Daniel (Rick) Ross and sister Hope tuomi.
