Debra Moen

Debra Mary (Robertson) Moen was born on September 5, 1957, in Breckenridge, MN. She was raised in Rosholt, South Dakota until the family moved to Kensington, Minnesota in 1972. Debbie graduated from Kensington High School, also where she met the love of her life, Timothy Moen. They were united in marriage on August 23, 1975. From that unity they had two sons, Andy and David.

Debbie did Daycare for years and was most recently employed at Beacon MFG in Alexandria where she worked until February 2022.

Debbie was diagnosed with lung cancer on February 14, 2022 and fought a good hard battle. The battle was lost on September 27, 2022 at the age of 65. She was surrounded by her family at home.

Debbie enjoyed purple, her boys and grandkids, yearly Memorial and Labor Day camping get together. Vikings football (purple), watching her son racing, grandkids sports and dancing and was always ready with a Whoo Hoo and her special k bars.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Tim Moen of Kensington; sons, Andy (Meagan) of Roslyn, SD and David (Lisa) of Henning, MN; sisters, Karen (James) Braaten of Kensington, MN, Leila (Kevin) Braaten of Hancock, MN, Susie (Curt) Anderson of Glenwood, MN, Tony (Veronica) Robertson of Darwin, MN; her mother, Mary Robertson of Kensington; grandchildren, Austin, Bayleann, Zoey, Brittany (Bailey) and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Robertson and father and mother-in-law, Dale and Pat Moen.

The family encourages everyone to wear purple, in memory of Debbie.

Funeral Service at  11 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Hoffman, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Our Lady of The Runestone Catholic Cemetery, Kensington, MN
