Delores Anne Seamon was born on December 28, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Cyril and Dorothy Bauer. She was received in to the kingdom of God, through the sacrament of Holy Baptism onJanuary 10, 1932. Delores attended public school in Detroit. She attended University of Detroit, Mercy, and graduated as a dental hygienist in 1952. On August 17, 1953, Delores was united in marriage to the Reverend Martin A. Seamon. Together their marriage was blessed with six children. She devoted her life to the care of her family and supporting her husband in the ministry of Jesus Christ. In this role she cared for the family as they moved from Farmington, Michigan, to Sturgis, Michigan, to Underwood, North Dakota, to Herman, Minnesota, to Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Twin Valley, Minnesota, and to Elbow Lake, Minnesota, serving Lutheran Churches. She definitely knew how to pack! Delores loved to cook, hand work, and garden. She and Martin loved living at Rock Lake (Detroit Lakes, Minnesota) in semi-retirement, entertaining, children and grandchildren. In 2000, Martin preceded her in death. In 2003, she moved from the Lake to Springfield, Minnesota, where her son Carl served as Pastor. In 2008, Delores moved to the Lakeview Commons Assisted Care Center in Maplewood, Minnesota. On February 18, 2013, Delores died surrounded with family at the age of 81 years, one month and 21 days. She is survived by sons and daughters: Carl and Solvejg Seamon of Brooklyn Park, Mark and Melanie Seamon of Coon Rapids, Gregory Seamon of Bayport, Grace and Philip Kopitske of Woodbury, Beth Schwarz of Grand Marias, and Jonathan and Patti Seamon of Wausau, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren: Matthew, Sean, Kelsey, Bonnie, Martin, Erica, Benjamin, Jacob, Sarah, Anna, David, Elijah and Anika; and three great-grandchildren: Julietta, Daniel and Caden.
