Duane Roy Fleischfresser (67) was born to Walter and Clara Fleischfresser on December 7, 1953 in Fergus Falls MN. He passed away on December 30, 2020.
He attended the Barrett Public School graduating from Barrett High School in 1971. He was raised on the family farm helping with chores and farming. After graduation, he worked as a mechanic and then as a farm laborer.
Duane was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Liebl on November 6, 1976, in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. In 1978 they purchased the family farm where he was still farming with his son, Greg. They had four wonderful children: Jessie, Teresa, Amanda, and Greg. Duane shared his love for farming and nature with his family and friends. He loved all types of hunting and fishing, especially being with his grandkids in the fishhouse. He enjoyed snowmobiling and was a part of starting Low Plains Drifters Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed wildlife and conservation, a big part of his love for nature. His passion was finding and restoring old tractors, taking part in tractorcades and parades. He was very talented at his tractor hobby. His biggest joys were family, friends, and being around people.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children and families, Jessie Fleischfresser of Minneapolis; Teresa Wright and her daughters Cora and Ally of Elbow Lake; Amanda (Randy) Johnk and their children Carl, William, and Clara of Wolverton; and Greg (Claire) Fleischfresser and daughters Hailey, Brynn, and Lillian of Elbow Lake; sisters, Shirley Olson of Elbow Lake, Arlene Pieske of Battle Lake, Linda (Dennis) Beckman of Wendell, Violetta Norman of Dalton and Betty Fleischfresser of Pine River; and by numerous relatives.
