Elroy Anderson

Elroy H. Anderson, 81 of Elbow Lake, died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Golden Manor of Detroit Lakes.

Elroy Harvey Anderson was born March 17, 1940, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Elmer and Hazel (Pederson) Anderson. He was baptized on May 19, 1940, in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake and confirmed on June 12, 1955, in the Pelican Lake Lutheran Church in Ashby.  Elroy graduated from the Ashby High School in 1958.

He was a lifetime dairy and grain farmer on the family farms in Pomme de Terre and Erdahl Townships, of rural Elbow Lake.  He enjoyed all farm activities including milking cows, feeding his cattle, operating his equipment, helping his mother garden and country living.  Elroy enjoyed visiting with family and friends, attending area community events, and farm auction sales.  He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Elroy is survived by numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hazel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 7, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church in Ashby, Minnesota with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be held following the service at Pelican Lake Cemetery in Ashby, Minnesota.
