Greg Hilde

Greg J. Hilde, 59, of Elbow Lake, MN, died on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Barrett Care Center in Barrett.

Greg John was born on March 18, 1962 in Hennepin County, Minneapolis, MN, the son of Andrew John and Vivian Joan (Clark) Hilde. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake. Greg attended school in Elbow Lake before starting to work at various jobs in the area. He worked construction with his uncle Ervin before later being employed at Barrett Automation where he worked machining. Greg lived most of his adult life in Elbow Lake before moving to the Barret Care Center most recently.
Greg enjoyed stock car racing and spending time with family.

Greg is survived by his mother, Vivian Hilde of Barrett, MN; siblings, Ronald Hilde of Mora, MN, Mark (Linda) Hilde of St. Cloud, MN, Susan Hilde of Starbuck, MN, Kathy (Curt) Jacobson of Morris, MN and Pam (Myron) Haben of Holloway, MN along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Andrew Hilde.

Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Christ Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Elbow Lake, MN
