James "Jamie" Diermier

Jamie R. Diermier, 53, passed away on February 09, 2025. Jamie was a devoted father and friend who touched the lives of many with his bold humor and kind spirit.

Jamie enjoyed spending his weekends with family and friends on the Crow Wing River, where he self-proclaimed himself “The River God.” He had a passion for building and spent countless hours improving the buildings on the family river property. In addition to spending his summers tubing on the river, he also enjoyed playing cards with friends on the weekends in his garage.

Jamie is survived by his children, Whitney and Dylan; grandson, Quinn; parents, Jim and DiAnn; siblings, Paula (Glenn) Hjelle, Scott (Blenda) Lambutis, Paige Amundson, and Andrea Johnson; his nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held on February 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Elbow Lake, MN, at Erickson Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please bring or send a card with a cherished memory of Jamie.
