Jamie Bruss

Jamie Ryan Bruss, 35, of Kensington, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Jamie was born April 29, 1984 to Clayton and Lynn (Hedstrom) Bruss in Alexandria, Minnesota.  Jamie graduated from West Central Area Schools in 2002 and was a lifetime resident of Kensington, where he was a friend to all.  One of Jamie’s grade schoolteachers told us that it was like sunshine coming into the room every time Jamie walked in; he was still like that.

Jamie also had many friends at Superior Industries where he worked as a painter in Morris.  They have shown their love and support for Jamie in so many ways, much like a second family.

Jamie’s greatest love was spending time with his family, his brothers who he counted as best friends, his Megan, and his many friends.  It didn’t matter if he was golfing, throwing darts, playing with Rylee (Jamie and Megan’s dog), watching a movie, or just standing, talking and laughing…“It’s all good.”

He is survived by his parents, Clayton and Lynn Bruss of Kensington; three brothers, Joey (Amie) Bruss, Jason Bruss, and Jeff Bruss, all of Kensington; niece and nephew, Rose and Cole; his significant other, Megan Andreasen of Hoffman; grandfather, Darrel Bruss of Glenwood; many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mildred Bruss, and Richard and Mercedes Hedstrom.

Visitation: 3 – 5 PM Wednesday, with a 4:30 PM Prayer Service, at First Lutheran Church, Kensington, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorial Service: 2 PM Thursday, January 2, 2020, at First Lutheran Church, Kensington
