Janet A. (Haraldson) Stalnecker, 83, died January 7, 2021, at the Pioneer Retirement Care Center in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, after an extended illness. She was born March 5, 1937, a daughter of Lloyd W. and Hilda (Westrom) Haraldson. She was baptized at Hjerdahl Lutheran Church and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake, MN.
She was a 1955 graduate of Elbow Lake High School and was employed at a steel mill in Gary, Indiana, and at Bankers Life Insurance Company in Minneapolis.
On December 26, 1959 Janet married David Stalnecker, and they made their home in Florida. She later moved back to Elbow Lake where she spent most of her adult life. Janet enjoyed reading, doing embroidery work, at which she completed many tablecloths, quilt tops and pillowcases, among other items.
Surviving are sisters Patricia (Søren) Urberg, Fort Wayne, IN, and Harriet Miller of Saxton, PA, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding her in death were her parents, two infant sisters, and brother-in-law Daniel Miller.
A committal service will he conducted on Monday, January 11, at the Hjerdahl Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
