Joanne Langmaack

Joanne N. Langmaack, age 74, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Elbow Lake, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the Barrett Care Center. Joanne Noreen was born September 23, 1941 to Rudolph and Johanna (Frikken) Langmaack in Fergus Falls, MN. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She attended Elbow Lake School, graduating in 1960. Following graduating she moved to Moorhead and started work immediately at Minnesota State University Moorhead as a dietician in the food service department. Her entire career was dedicated to the University. After 39 years of service Joanne retired in 2009. She then returned back to her hometown of Elbow Lake, making her home at the Vart Hjem Apartments. She retired to the Barrett Care Center following a stroke in the summer of 2016. Joanne enjoyed her work, and the Moorhead area. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to music, and watching Old Time Music on television. Joanne was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Elbow Lake. Survivors include her sister, Judith (Dick) Lohse of Elbow Lake, MN; brother, Robert (Rosanna) Langmaack of Orange Park, FL; three nieces and one nephew. Preceding Joanne in death were her parents, Rudolph & Johanna Langmaack.
