Kathryn Eilers

Kathryn Ann (Getz) Eilers, age 78, died peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Barrett Care Center where she had been a resident since 1991. Kathy was born November 23, 1934, in Barrett, Minnesota, to Roy A. and Lorna J. (Ronhovde) Getz. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Barrett, graduated from Barrett High School, attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis for two years, and graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead in 1957. She worked in a number of offices including newspapers, churches, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Minneapolis. Kathy married Donald Eilers in 1974 and they lived in Florida many years. She is survived by her sisters Irene Getz (Edward Fastner) and Mona Becker and one brother, David Getz; nephews Derek (Sara) Getz, Lance Getz, Brandt Getz, and Gerry (Amber) Getz, and several great nephews and a great niece. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lorna Getz, and her husband, Donald Eilers.
