Burial will be at a later date in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Urbank.
Loretta was born on November 27, 1938, in Effington Township near Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, to Andrew and Eleanor (Schmidt) Lenarz. She was baptized and confirmed at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank and attended country school District #74 in Effington Township. Following school, she lived at home with her parents on the farm until 1966 when her father passed away and she moved to St. Cloud with her mother. After she left St. Cloud, Loretta moved to a group home in Elbow Lake where she lived at the time of her death.
She had many interests including cross stitch, baking, cooking, and collecting recipes. Loretta enjoyed going out to eat and getting together with family. She loved to travel and going for car rides around the country to see the farmers working in the fields. She enjoyed her gardening and cooking magazines, watching the many birds at the bird feeder, and the flower garden. Loretta was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She enjoyed visiting with people and had many friends wherever she went.
Loretta enjoyed country music and was a big fan of Patsy Cline. She had a beautiful voice and loved singing along with the music. She remembered the song titles and all the words to the songs and made sure that anyone singing with her would get the words right.
Loretta is survived by her siblings Florian (Carol) Lenarz of Garfield, Duane (Linda) Lenarz of Minnetonka, Mildred Becker of Vining, and Richard (Marlys) Lenarz of Royalton. She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Eleanor Lenarz, her brother Raymond Lenarz, and her sister Marie Benzinger.
