Nancy Simar

Nancy Simar, 70 of rural Hoffman, died Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Stevens' Homes Plus, of rural Barrett.

Nancy Evelyn Simar was born September 11, 1951, in Alexandria, Minnesota to Russell and Ardyce (Olson) Erickson. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith at Fridhem Lutheran Church in Barrett, Minnesota. She attended school in Hoffman and graduated from the Hoffman High School in 1970.

On October 22, 1977, Nancy married Marvin Simar at Peace Lutheran Church in Barrett. To this union, a daughter Kristy was born. They made their home in rural Hoffman.

Nancy was employed at the Dew-Drop-Inn, and thoroughly enjoyed being a waitress. She was always one who liked to be kept busy working and taking care of her family. Nancy was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church of Barrett.

She is survived by her husband Marvin; daughter Kristy; siblings Peggy (Bill) Pasche of Hoffman, Dale Erickson of Barrett, Connie Anderson of Morris, Susan (Dale) Murray of Alexandria, Darrel (Carol) Erickson of Kensington, Janice (Troy) Rienking of Ironton, Iowa, and Dean Erickson of Barrett. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell & Ardyce, and brother-in-law Steve Anderson.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church in Barrett with visitation at 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Inurnment at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Barrett
