Neil A Sperr, age 82, of Donnelly, passed away December 30, 2014 at the Barrett Care Center in Barrett, MN. The oldest of six children, Neil was born to Edward and Euphemia (Oachs) Sperr December 17, 1932 at the family farm. Neil attended school at the district #63 country school in Donnelly Township. Hard work was no stranger to this man. He farmed with his farther Ed up until 1982, and then took over the family farm and was very successful. He was very creative, whether it be making woodworking projects for his niece and nephews, or making figures out of corn cobs giving many away to friends. You could always spot him wearing his bright red International cap, always ready to take a picture with his most prize possession, the Polaroid camera; he could tell you quite the stories with all the pictures. Needless to say, he was very upset when they stopped making the film. Neil is survived by sister, Marie Cosh of Herman; brother, Gail (Jeanne) Sperr of Herman; sister-in-law, Doris Sperr of Herman; many nieces and nephews, and his special buddy, Rascal. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Erla Woodcock; brothers, Irving and Dale; brothers-in-law, Robert Cosh and Roger Andersen; and niece, Debra Gardell.
