Paul Jennen, 67, died Friday, August 26, 2022 at his home in rural Elbow Lake.
Paul Kelly Jennen was born on December 17, 1954, to Richard & Marlys (Clauson) Jennen in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls, and attended Our Lady of Victory Elementary School to the fifth grade until the family moved to Elbow Lake. He graduated from Elbow Lake High School in 1973, and furthered his education at Dunwoody Institute in electronics.
Paul worked for Moorhead Electric in 1974, and in 1975 began farming with his Dad, and continued farming until the time of his death.
In 1976, Paul married Sandy Huseth, to which they had two sons, Jeremy & Nathan. In 1982, Paul married Franny Klegin and welcomed a daughter, Shannon Klegin to the family.
Paul was an active member of St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in Elbow Lake where he served as a Trustee, was a member of the Parish Council, and assisted with several building and maintenance projects. He excelled in farming and had a passion for hunting and fishing. Above all, he cherished his family and numerous treasured friends. Paul always lived life to the fullest, and welcomed anyone to join in at any time.
Paul is survived by his mother, Marlys; his wife, Franny; sons Jeremy (Sara), and Nathan (Amanda), and daughter Shannon Mock; grandchildren, Cody, Max, Riley, Elisa, Collin, Emery, Carlyn and Catherine; siblings, Jeff (Leslie), Rhonda, Julie Ann (Scott), Rich (Nancy), and Kate, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Richard, sister Mary, and niece Leah.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 3, 2022, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Elbow Lake.
A Prayer Service will begin at 3:00 PM on Friday followed by a Visitation until 7:00 PM at St. Olaf’s Church, and resuming one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Interment at St. Loretto’s Catholic Cemetery, Elbow Lake
Erickson-Smith Funeral Home of Elbow Lake is assisting the family with arrangements.
