Ronald Krusemark, 72, Barrett, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at the Prairie Ridge Hospital in Elbow Lake. Ronald Keith Krusemark was born on April 18, 1941, at the family home in Grant County near Hoffman. He was baptized and confirmed at the Land Lutheran Church in Hoffman, attended country school and continued his education at the Hoffman Public School, graduating in 1959. Following high school, Ron farmed with his dad for several years. Ron enjoyed several small business adventures and loved his time with his customers. He continued his small business endeavors when he purchased the Barrett Inn with his wife Rosie. Ron loved bowling, hunting and fishing, attending sporting events, and spending time joking with his grandchildren. His love for the outdoors continued when he and Rosie found the perfect home on Oscar Lake. He is survived by his wife Rosie; his children Kathi (Kevin) Waller of Shakopee, Mark (Virginia) Krusemark of Jacksonville, Florida, Susan (Darwin) Helberg of Kensington, Lee Krusemark of Cyrus, and Michelle Mehlhaf of Barrett; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include his brothers Lyle (Deb), Jerry (Deb), Robert (Bev) and Greg (Joan), and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Ron in death were his parents Clarence and Agnes Krusemark; one brother, Thomas; and one sister-in-law, Janice (Lyle).
